Essential Oils for Self-Care

Currently not using essential oils for self-care? Stop what you're doing and listen β€” you're missing out. Majorly.

First things first, regularly and practically approaching self-care is a great way to create habit-forming behaviors that can impact and change your overall mental and physical health. In a world full of stress, chaos, twists and turns, and lots of surprises β€” having a self-care routine to fall back into and rely on is so critically important.

While self-care can look different for everyone, one practical self-care tool that I recommend is aromatherapy. By using essential oils, you can help your emotional well-being, help your body detoxify, and improve your mental focus while offering other healing facets for your life. No matter what you're dealing with in life β€” there is an essential oil that you can use.

Essential Oil Benefits:

If you're new to essential oils, especially using essential oils for self-care, there are three basic ways to reap the benefits:

  • Aromatically: If you're using essential oils for self-care aromatically, I recommend using a diffuser or combing essential oils with water or witch hazel in a bottle to spray around your home. Additionally, you can add essential oils to wall balls that you can toss into the laundry.
  • Internally: I use essential oils when cooking, which is excellent, but you could use a vegetable capsule to consume essential oils or even dilute it in water.
  • Topically: If you're looking to apply essential oils to your skin, I always recommend using a carrier oil like coconut oil to help dilute it.

Personally, I can only recommend doTERRA when it comes to those three forms of essential oils β€” doTERRA is my favorite.

Now you know about my love for essential oils for self-care purposes, so check out these eight essential oils to have in your home:
